Improve your Improv!

Do you want to learn to be more creative, engaging, and to play well with others? This class introduces and reinforces the basic principles of improvisation to help you live more fully in the present, connect to others, infuse creativity and fun into your everyday life.

 

This four-week class is appropriate for beginning to intermediate improvisers age 18 and up.

Mondays: April 9, 16, 23, and 30.  7:30-8:30 pm

Acting for Public Speaking

More people claim to fear public speaking thatn truly scary things like death, taxes, and spiders. Would you like to address your fear of public speaking? In this workshop, we'll use professional acting techniques and improvisation skills to help you be more relaxed and engaging as a speaker, and maybe even enjoy giving your next talk.

 

This one-day class is for those 17 and up.

Act Up

Join us to have fun and learn theatre skills through creative drama. Creative drama helps kids strengthen communication skills, creativity, empathy, problem-solving, social awareness, self-image, cooperating with others and helps them learn how to listen to parents when they're told to clean their rooms.* Join us for this four-week class.

*May not actually help with this particular skill.

 

For students in 3rd-5th Grade

 

Mondays: April 9, 16, 23, and 30.  5:30-6:15 pm

FUNdamentals of Acting

Using improvisation games and basic elements of scene study, this class introduces kids to the foundations of professional acting. In this four-week session, students will learn both the art and craft of acting through fun exercises that cultivate confidence, bravery, and greater awareness of impulses and choices.

This class is for students in 6th-8th grades.

 

Mondays: 4/9, 4/16, 4/23, 4/30. 6:45-7:30
